Who is Webfar?

I’ve been a computer nerd since I received my first computer, a Sinclair ZX-Spectrum, as a Christmas gift back in the 1980s. I have two great passions: technology and music. This has resulted in two vastly different educations – one at the conservatory and one as a multimedia designer.

I’ve been building websites for many years and have a firm grasp on the technical aspects needed when establishing an online presence. I can program at a reasonably high level and create solutions that work. I have also developed and designed applications from scratch, and therefore have experience from the entire process – from initial plans, creation of wireframes, content architecture, text content, UI and UX design, to the actual development and programming of solutions.

My passion for both music and programming has resulted in applications such as EarBeater and ChordAce, which are apps and tools for music education.

In addition, I run the YouTube channel Music & Coding, where I’ve been teaching the internet about music and programming since 2020.

I’ve also worked as a technical project manager in various contexts and have developed a keen sense for communication between developers and clients. In other words, I “speak” both languages. I have the computer nerd in me and at the same time, I can explain various technical aspects to ordinary people who are not technically founded.

In 2016, I moved to Thailand to try my luck as a “digital nomad” for a period. Here, I’ve held various jobs and also worked as a freelancer. Shortly after I moved, I met Kasama, who I am now married to. Together, we have a son, Luke, born in 2020.

Kasama is a trained physicist but has pursued a completely different field for a long time. She has many years of experience working with supply chain management in a large international company with about 8,000 employees. She has a great overview, is detail-oriented, and is used to finding solutions in pressured situations.

In 2018, she quit her job to try something different after 12 years at the same workplace. She started working as a freelancer on various projects and set out to learn to program and develop websites and more.

In addition to being a skilled project manager and being organized, she has a passion for training and CrossFit. She worked as a CrossFit trainer for a period and runs her own fitness YouTube channel.

As the surname suggests, she is married to Morten and together they have a son, Luke. They are all based in Thailand and run their business from there.

I have an MBA in Marketing, with a deep interest in economics and investment that led me into the banking world. With more than 12 years of extensive experience in the banking sector, I’ve built a solid understanding of financial processes.

In 2018, I decided to leave my position as a bank manager to broaden my horizons and immerse myself in language studies abroad, which I dedicated several years to.

In 2022, I returned to Thailand and started a new chapter in my career at a private school, where I taught Thai to foreign adults and English to Thai children.

This new chapter continues now with Webfar, where I have assumed the role of web development assistant. My tasks include content updating, website building, and managing many other varied tasks. I greatly appreciate this role, as it provides me with the opportunity to continuously learn and explore new areas every day.
